As we look toward the long-term, generational future of New Hope Leeward and New Hope Christian School, we envision a sustainable church and school campus to not just transform Leeward O’ahu, but to have a ripple effect around the world for generations to come.  Our concern for the future generations of our church began four years ago as an idea to move away from expensive property rentals for our campuses and to instead invest in our long-term future by purchasing a property for our church home.  After vetting more than 2,800 viable properties throughout Leeward and Central O’ahu, God revealed to us a 203-acre parcel in Kunia, a mere 5 minutes from our church site in Waipahu.

After several years of due diligence, planning studies, capital campaigns, advisory sessions, community support solicitation, and mostly fervent prayer, we are more assured than ever that our journey toward purchasing and developing the Kunia property is God’s long-term plan for our church, our school and our community, and that our Promised Land journey, though not quick or easy, is the right one for us to be on.  We truly believe that God continues to guide us step by step toward our Promised Land vision so that we can be a truly passionate church and school reaching even more people for His glory during this generation and many generations to come!

Two years ago, Pastor Mike captured the intent and essence of our Promised Land vision in a video that has since been shared with our church ohana, community leaders, business investors and many supporters throughout the world.  Take a peek into our generational vision here:

We began raising funds for our Promised Land vision in 2011 and have thus far collected over $3 million toward the purchase and development of a permanent, sustainable campus for our church, school, and community outreach programs.  Every dollar collected for Promised Land is held in a restricted bank account and all expenditures are verified to be for the sole purpose of purchasing and developing our Promised Land site.  Donors to our capital campaign include church members, church visitors, school parents, community leaders, business partners, international supporters, and more.  We invite you to partner with us on this incredible Promised Land journey both through prayer and by making a financial pledge or contribution.
