I hope you're all safe and doing well!!
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” - I Corinthians 13:13. We must continue to have faith in our Good Lord, hope in Him and hope for the best. While these are very important, this verse says there’s something even more essential: LOVE.
During this time of scarcity, our staff is working on opportunities to meet basic needs of our community as well as needs of the kupuna in our church ‘ohana! We will share these handful of outreach events with you as we work out the details. But for now, I’d like to take a moment to share our first outreach opportunity that you can be a part of either as a donor or as a recipient. We’re calling it ‘Ohana Pantry!
If you are looking for a way to help those in need, we would appreciate donations of non-perishable food and/or toilet paper (still wrapped in its original packaging). All you have to do is drop it off to our Kapolei or Waipahu Campus this Tuesday, March 24 between 5pm and 7pm. If you are a kupuna (age 60 or older) in our church and are in need of food and toilet paper, you can just pull up and we’ll hand you a bag. Whether you drop off or pick up, one of our team members will come to you when you pull up to the front of our building. You don’t even have to get out of your car!
Here’s how to sign up to be a recipient:
by Thursday, March 26
Provide your first and last name, age, and phone number
Our outreach staff will reply with the pick up days and times
Thank you, NHL, for continuing to love God, reflect His light and change the world especially during this time of crisis!

Aloha New Hope Leeward Church 'Ohana!
As more details unfold and our Federal & State Government are urging us to take more caution in light of the spread of COVID-19, we feel that we must do our part as a church to care for our families, our community, and those who could be significantly affected by this virus.
This weekend our services will be completely online. Church is still happening and our services will continue—we will just bring our services to you virtually. Our Waipahu and Kapolei campuses will be closed this weekend but we will be streaming services at 4:30 & 6:30pm on Saturday and 7am, 9am, & 11am on Sunday.
You can access our Live Stream by visiting our website, www.newhopeleeward.org, and clicking the “Live Stream” button at the top of the screen. You can also access it via our “NHL Church” app, which can be downloaded from the iPhone App and Google Play Store.
Our New Hope Kids team will also be putting up the weekly online lessons for you to help disciple your keiki at home. The videos and resources we use on a weekend service will be available on our website. We will also be preparing kits with printed materials if you are unable to print and provide those resources at home. Stay tuned for more information on when you will be able to pick up those resource kits before the weekend at one of our campuses.
All ministries that take place on campus will be canceled for a season. Our NextGen rallies, NHA classes, Kingdom Women, Creative Arts, AWANA, and ‘Ohana Groups that meet on campus will be postponed until further notice.
We are also highly encouraging all ‘Ohana Groups to meet virtually for this season. Each ‘Ohana Group leader will receive an email very soon that will explain everything you need to know in order to do this successfully.
During a time where it can be so easy to become disjointed, we are encouraging the Body of Christ to stay more connected now than ever before. Continue to check our website, follow us on social media, and stay connected with your NHL ‘Ohana as we continue to grow in faith together. We are Leeward!
I believe that God is going to do something great. If there was ever a time for us to Love God, Reflect His Light, and Change the World…it is right now!
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Excited for what is to come,
Josiah Nordgren, Senior Pastor
